Your GP is your first point of contact, they will know your enitre medical history and hold your medical records. They will be able to liaise with your Neurologists and MS Nurse.

MS Nurse team
The MS specialist nurse is pivotal in helping you understand your condition, providing a co-ordinated approach to your care and promoting self management. The MS Nurse team are based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Edgbaston.
Your GP can refer you directly to the team, or alternatively you can self refer. Tel: 0121 371 5799.
Neurologists
Neurologists are key in diagnosing, treating and prescribing appropriate treatment for people with MS. Your Neurologist should liaise with your GP and MS Nurse in order to co-ordinate an appropriate treatment programme.

Occupational Therapist
To help you deal with fatigue and provide practical solutions for any problems that effect your daily life at work and home

Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapists work with adults who have difficulty with communication or with eating, drinking and swallowing.
Referrals for a communication and/or swallowing assessment can be made by anyone, including yourself by contacting:

Physiotherapy
Neuro-physiotherapists are able to assess movement, mobility and balance and can provide specialist advice, and tailor specific exercise/management programmes to improve the quality of movement in daily activities and general health.
Physiotherapy can be beneficial if you are experiencing a relapse or have new symptoms which are affecting day-to-day activities, mobility and independence.
