Washwood Heath Urgent Care Centre

Washwood Heath Urgent Care Centre is a walk-in service for anyone suffering from a minor ailment, illness or injury. It provides treatment for a range of minor illnesses and injuries, from rashes and earaches, to minor wounds and burns.

Based at Washwood Heath Health Centre (also known as Oakleaf Medical Centre), specialist nurses are on hand to provide a confidential service, and also offer emergency contraception.

• Chest infections
• Mild asthma
• Conjunctivitis/eye problems
• Coughing
• Abdominal pains

• Burns and cuts
• Ear infections
• Emergency contraception

When to go to A&E

If you’re injured or seriously ill, you should go, or be taken, to A&E or call 999 in an emergency. This includes:

• Loss of consciousness
• Pain that is not relieved by simple pain killers
• confused state
• Persistent, severe chest pain or breathing difficulties.
