I would like to send a message of thanks.
I had an insect bite on Friday evening and although it became sore and swollen on Saturday – I just though it was an allergic reaction. However I felt quite ill Saturday night with muscle / joint pains and a fever. My foot was swollen and very discoloured Sunday morning. I was able to go straight to the urgent care centre in Warren Farm rd at 8.30am and was diagnosed and given a prescription within 20 minutes. Fantastic. I have no doubt that if I had left it until Monday to see my GP it would have got much worse.
Thanks for a brilliant service!
I visited this centre on September 21st. I must say the overall service I recieved was Outstanding from the very helpfull and polite lady that checked me in, through to the nurse that checked my swollen leg.
Everything was professionaly handled and all staff were very friendly with a smile at all times.
I’m pleased to have this centre close to home as my doctors surgery ( College road) is very difficult to get appointments at straight away.
Well done for you excellent work!
Arrived at 19:05 after seeing the opening times on this website, only to be told that I could not be seen as the last entry was accepted at 18:20.
This is totally unacceptable to be told to come back or go to A&E, what is the point of this service if they cant even ask whats wrong, I only hope that someone does not go in with chest pains, menegitis symptoms etc only to be told sorry we are closed.
If they are there to be open until 19:30 they should make an effort to be manned to see customers.
i was absoulutly descusted with warren farm and i think they are a descrace i took my child there worried as i noticed an unuseuall mark on his leg so i took him 2 warren farm clinic who accused us off alsorts left us in a room for hours wich was filthy and unused needles in there fair enought there unused but that aint the point my child could still off picked 1 up they wouldent let us go contacted social serveses who never come out untll we got 2 the hospital 2 find out when they did tests that my child had dug a pen in his leg i wouldent advise eny1 2 go there never agin would i ever be ging there i never even got an appolage off them

Sheryl…learn to spell!
stop complaining…if you were that concerned you should have gone straight to hospital.
every hospital/doctors room has unused needles..it is your responsibility to watch your child!

Warren Farm Urgent Care Centre manager
Hi Sheryl
just to say I know it’s a pain when you have to wait ages but these staff have duty of care. Look at all the cases of child abuse where people say “healthworkers should have picked that up!”
It’s not about you it’s about keeping children safe.
I for one am glad the staff are so cautious.
lou im sorry but if u dont like my messages please do not read them thank u if u know wat we went through ud be the same and as upset as i am about it now even though it happend a while ago. and sinead yeah i understand wat ur saying and yeah i think its good my self but that aint the point its the way they handled the situation wich was wrong and i am very angry about i even explained 2 social servises the way warren farm had handled the situation and the things they said i also asked them if they had a right 2 do and say the things that they did and they said no so are we both in the wrong? even my health visiter said the same it upsets me now thinking about it put it this way iv now learned my lesson not 2 bring my child 2 warren farm and 2 take them strait 2 the hospital were the staff know wat there doing and are talking about and are not as rude
as as for lou it wasent that bad 2 have 2 go 2 the hospital untill u now the facts dont judge
sorry that was ment 2 say take him 2 the doctors
Thanks for your comments Sheryl. I do hope you have contacted Ann at the centre to discuss your experiences, using the details above. You can also get in touch with me direct if you want to discuss the comments on the site.

i was very happy with the service i received at warren farm. i visited them on a sunday with my baby who was only 5 months and had a rash. the staff were very helpfull and considerate. they also helped me track down a local pharmacy that was open on sunday untill midnight where i could get my medicne dispensed. the receptionist rang to make sure they had the medicine in stock. she was very helpfull. the pharmacy for any other parents was xtreme pharmacy on 62 witton rd, birmingham b6 6le. i’d also like to thank the pharmacist who was very helpfull. 5 stars for the nhs all round.
I have used the service a number of times for my baby and have found the staff to be helpfull and professional each time. The fact that they aim to see babys within a 20 minute time window is great.
weve used the service since our baby girl was born and they have always been fantastic with her, they made sure she was 100% fine before leaving the building, they even had a cuddle..haha…theyve watched her grow into a toddler and still remember her really well, there gentle polite and never rush so you feel your getting a good check up all round..
I cant knock them at all. I no its stressfull waiting as sometimes it takes forever to get seen but its only because they dont rush the patients out the room and spend as much time trying to solve there problem..
I took my four year old yesterday for a sore throat and temperature ( he has a history of this and is awaiting and appoinment at the childrens for tonsilectomy)
I was seen by a nice nurse but was told it was a viral infection and sent away with paracetemol even though my son hadnt eaten since friday and was very unwell.
He was up all night being sick and crying and came out in a rash I took him to GPs this morning as soon as they opened and the Doctor couldnt believe antibiotics were not given as hes throat was very infected!
Im really disapointed in this as I feel had I listened to the advice it was viral my son would have suffered another day today without antibiotics. I feel case history should be looked at and in my sons case he never gets over it without antibiotics and 9 times out of 10 has to have them.
I know they dont like treating it with them unless they have to but in my sons case it should have been picked up on how bad his tonsils were .
I came to the centre as I had a skin condition. I was met by very friendly staff who put me at ease. My wait was less than 10 before I saw the nurse. She was very thorough to the point that she checked with her superior regarding the diagnosis. They were both very compasionate – a quality that I find is not offered by my GP.
I would definately recommend you visit the centre.
Many thanks for the qualtity service.
