Stroke
A stroke is a serious medical condition that occurs when the blood supply to the brain is disturbed. We run a multi-disciplinary, community-based Stroke Service to help people who have had a stroke.
This team aims to help coordinate the care for someone who has had a stroke, and cut down the amount of time spent in hospital, through an agreed rehabilitation programme.
Who can use the service
Someone who has had a stroke registered with a GP within the NHS Birmingham East and North area.
How to use the service
Healthcare professionals, such as GPs, will refer you to the service via fax, phone or letter.
