Community physiotherapy

The community physiotherapy service at NHS Birmingham East and North provides high quality assessment and treatment of a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

The team comprises senior and junior clinicians, assistant and support staff who work closely to ensure an efficient and smooth service is maintained. The service works closely with the orthopaedic triage and pain management services to provide seamless care for all its patients.

Who can use the service

People over the age of 14 years old and with any musculoskeletal condition such as back pain, neck pain or any muscle, bone or joint pain. A small number of patients are seen suffering from neurological conditions such as strokes, multiple sclerosis, etc.

The service is available to anyone registered with a GP in NHS Birmingham East and North. Find out if you are covered by NHS Birmingham East and North.

Referral forms are also available at any one of the clinics below, or through GP surgeries in NHS Birmingham East and North.

GPs can refer patients to our service by sending a referral to one of our clinics listed below.

Opening times

Physiotherapy services run from 7am to 7pm on selected days. This applies to:

  • Sutton Cottage Hospital
  • Warren Farm Health Centre
  • Walmley Health Centre
  • Richmond Primary Care Centre
  • Stockland Green Primary Care Centre

You will be notified of the relevant time of your appointment.
