Orthopaedic triage
The orthopaedic triage service provides specialist assessment, investigation, advice and management of non-urgent orthopaedic (musculoskeletal, or bone and muscle) problems that may need surgery.
Our team of consultants and clinical specialist physiotherapists and podiatrists will assess your needs at hospital and at Primary Care Community Centres. They work with colleagues in community physiotherapy and pain management to ensure you get the best service.
Who can use the service
Any one how has a musculoskeletal problems but have not responded to normal conservative management.
The service is available to anyone registered with a GP in NHS Birmingham East and North. Find out if you are covered by NHS Birmingham East and North.
How to use the service
Patient can be referred into the service by GPs using the ‘Choose and Book’ system, which allows the patient to contact the service directly by telephone using the unique booking reference number.
