What PALS offers
Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is free and confidential and can offer:
- Advice and support for patients, their families and carers
- Information on NHS services
- To listen to your concerns, suggestions or queries
- To help sort out problems quickly on your behalf.
Please note that the PALS team is NOT a medical team. If you have an immediate health problem please contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or your GP.
Finding a GP
If you need to find a GP, dentist, pharmacy or other service, use the NHS Choices service search on the NHS Choices website. You can also contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
The finding and registering with a GP page has details of what to do if you have any problems finding or registering with a GP.
About PALS
The PALS team acts independently when handling patient and family concerns, liaising with staff, managers and, where appropriate, relevant organisations, to find immediate or prompt solutions. If necessary, the team can also refer patients and families to specific local or national-based support agencies.
PALS provides confidential, on-the-spot advice and support, helping you to sort out any concerns you may have about the care we provide, guiding you through the different services available from the NHS.
If you have any comments on this service please write to:
