All primary care trusts in Birmingham undertook a consultation about influencing commissioning in health and social care in 2009-10.
What was the consultation about?
Consultation commissioned by Glamorgan University and the Welsh Institute for Health & Social care to find out what the public wanted and expected from the Birmingham Local Involvement Network (LINk), and how they could support cross-partnership working with the 3 PCTs, the City Council, the Local Strategic partnership and Be Birmingham.
Who was asked their views?
PCT staff, Birmingham City Council Staff, voluntary sector representatives and members of Birmingham LINk.
What did people say?
Feedback showed LINk added value to patient and public involvement.
What was the result?
Resulted in the production of a set of operating criteria for LINk and commissioners.
