Society Health and Development Diploma
Since the launch of the Diploma in Society, Health and Development in September 2009, we have been working closely with lead schools to support its delivery in our local communities.
This support has included training days of expert workshops where in students engage with healthcare professionals, as well as a uniquely designed work experience programme that enable students ‘experience’ a range of services within the trust.
Employer engagement is essential if students are to complete and pass the Diploma successfully. Strong partnerships are also being developed across the LHE to ensure young people really understand the wide range of careers available in the NHS.
Supporting the Diploma has been a new way of working for many Trust members; it has also been a valuable and rewarding experience for all involved!
