Human Resources and Development
The Human Resources and Workforce Development function is led by the Director of HR and Development and this is a key role for developing and driving through both the Trust Workforce Strategy and national strategies from the Department of Health and NHS Employers. The purpose of the function is to contribute and to add value to the successful delivery of the patient journey by:
- Providing expert HR advice and support
- Being flexible and responsive to the needs of services we support
- Assisting in the development of a high performing talented, efficient and effective workforce dedicated to delivering excellent care to the clients we serve.
The function went through an internal re-organisation in June 2009. This allowed us to introduce new ways of working, building on existing skills and knowledge and create innovative initiatives able to respond to the needs of NHS Birmingham East and North in a professional, proactive and efficient way. The function is split into two distinctive areas: Human Resources, and Learning and Workforce Development.
