Finance Department

The Finance Department at NHS Birmingham East and North is reponsible for the following:

Providing financial advice to NHS Birmingham East and North
Designing and maintaining systems for the proper recording of financial transactions
Designing and maintaining the budgetary control system
Maintaining systems of financial monitoring to ensure effective accounting of expenditure against budgets
Ensuring that the trust meets its statutory obligation to maintain expenditure within its resource limit
Preparing and submitting regular financial returns and the annual financial statements
Regularly updating the Board and relevant committees of the level and value of financial risks
Ensuring ongoing training to budget holders
